Decisive Conservative Leadership From Your Councilman

John Grasso on The Issues

John is a life long resident of Glen Burnie who has been actively involved in supporting the local community.

During the mid-1980s, when the Republican Party needed a strong North County candidate to take on a tax-and-spend Democrat, they turned to a young entrepreneur named John Grasso.  Although unsuccessful in his first run for political office 25 years ago, he has continued to be a leader and a voice for the taxpayers of Anne Arundel County.

John Grasso's Plans for:

- Fighting Taxes
- Protecting Our Jobs From Illegals
- Watching Out For Your Property Rights

Protecting Our Tax Cap
The average north county resident pays almost 30% of their family's hard earned income to the Government in taxes. Liberals in Anne Arundel County are talking about trying to remove our cap on property taxes. With John Grasso as your County Councilman, you can be sure he will fight hard to protect our tax cap. Grasso will never vote to increase a tax on the hard working citizens of district 2.

Fighting Illegal Immigration and Protecting Our Jobs
Three years ago republican county executive John Leopold signed executive order 24: Requiring all organizations that do business with Anne Arundel County Government to certify they only hire legal workers.
As your Councilman I will work to pass legislation making this executive order the law in Anne Arundel County. Furthermore I will require Anne Arundel County to monitor county contracts and conduct audits when necessary to ensure employers are playing by the rules.

Protecting your property rights and neighborhood
There are few greater feelings than the pride of homeownership. With the high cost of housing in our county, government should work to provide every opportunity for citizens to improve and beautify their home and community.
As your councilman I will work to support regulation changes to promote re-development of our aging communities. I will sponsor legislation preventing local government and greedy developers from unjustly seizing residential property.
